We’ve known you since the beginning, you were one of us… How could he abandon all those principles, all that training, all that loyalty - and join the other side? )

OMG I miss her already!!! *LOL*

badmomma64 has been working over in the UK for a week, and luckily based only half an hour from me! We've been able to get together over both weekends. We've chatted ourselves out about friends and fandom and family and fiction. We took her on one of our (in)famous whistle-stop tours of London, plied her with food and made her suffer the mess that is Chez Mitchell. But it's been SO MUCH FUN to have a fellow soulmate around, especially one as lovely as she is.

And this Saturday we followed other prestigious precedents - as held in the US - by holding our own OTP Con, the UK version!!

Watch and marvel at what three previously sensible adult people can do with too much coffee, Powerpoint, a net host and a bundle of Gundam Wing treasures! ^____^

I'm booking my flights for the Yaoi Con weekend, I'm arriving Friday early afternoon, but I have to come home Sunday because I don't have any more holiday left to take from work.

But before I press the button and book, I'm just wondering if there'll be anyone around for the Sunday? I could make my flight Sun evening rather than early afternoon, then although I'd be checked out of the Marriott, I'd still have most of the day free.
Saturday is always hectic group fun, but maybe Sunday I could catch up on a quieter, more relaxed basis. So many people I only see once a year, and so little time! LOL In past years, it's been a bummer having to see people off Sunday morning, while the rest of us were still around. But then, Sunday can often be a bit of an anti-climax too.

So... Anyone still around for another day and fancying a chatty brunch?

What is this?
Live Long And Marry is a fandom auction to benefit marriage equality. Bidding begins on July 1, 12:01 AM one minute after midnight Pacific Time, 2008, and closes on July 15, 12:01 AM one minute after midnight Pacific Time, 2008.

What's the cause?
The auction will raise money for the fight against the California initiative which will legally destroy existing same-sex marriages and ban any further ones. If the initiative passes, it will write discrimination into the state constitution, annul existing marriages, and make Mr. Sulu cry.

MY OWN WINGS is launching tomorrow!!!

This is a new short story of mine, NOT in the m/m genre, but in women's fiction. I hope people will find it a gentle, sweet, life-affirming story. I think we all need some of that, pretty often!

I know, I know, this is when my lazy lack of fic research really hits home...

Can anyone tell me a really big , household name in Mens Magazines in the USA (like Mens Health over here in the UK, though I don't think that's global). Doesn't have to be specifically for gay readership, but one a gay man might like looking at for the hot pics of men and great clothes etc etc.

I won't even bother asking if anyone also knows how a dentist actually turns on the drill (from the handpiece or a foot pedal??) because I'll phone my own dentist tomorrow and ask him, humiliating myself in the name of fiction even more thoroughly. Though I suppose, you F-Listers are pretty far ranging...*LOL*

And yes, the fic has to be finished tomorrow, so just skip over my nonsense if the time has passed.
